Dan Duquette A seasoned baseball executive with over 20 years experience with the Milwaukee Brewers, Montreal Expos, Boston Red Sox, and recently named the Executive Vice President for Baseball Operations and General Manager of the Baltimore Orioles, Dan Duquette is respected internationally for his ability to assemble and lead a dynamic sports organization and to establish a world-class training program. He has been recognized as a key member of the top baseball organization six times and has been honored twice as the EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR. While raising his family, Duquette identified the need to establish a sport focused camp and tournament environment that delivers additional value to student athletes and their families. Having spent the majority of his career working with Major League baseball players, Dan learned that it takes more than just physical "tools" and athletic skills to succeed. He knows the top athletes in all sports have a positive attitude, a healthy respect for the game, emotional control and advanced mental skills that enrich their game and life. David Duquette A native of Berkshire County, Dave is one of the Founding Partners of the Sports Academy and an established and respected businessman in Hinsdale and the surrounding area. The sole owner of Duquette Excavation and Construction, Dave is responsible for the construction of the Academy. He and his wife Jenny live in nearby Washington, MA and enjoy Plunkett Lake on a year round basis with their three children Jessie, David Jr., Kellie and their grand daughter Brooklyn Kent Qualls - Academy Director An experienced Sports Administrator, Kent has more than 25 years of experience at the amateur and professional levels. He spent 16 years in Major League Baseball with the Montreal Expos and Boston Red Sox primarily working in scouting, player development and latin american operations to develop talent for the major league team. He was named the Director at the Sports Academy when it opened in 2003 and has overseen it's growth into a premier sports facility. The Dan Duquette Sports Academy now hosts a variety of sports camps, broadcasters camp, baseball tournaments, tryouts & showcases, team training camps, group retreats, staff training and team building. The 2012 season marks the 10th anniversary of the Dan Duquette Sports Academy. Kent and his family (wife Irene and children Kyle & Chloe) reside on-site at the camp each summer and live in Johns Creek, GA during the winter. He graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Business Administration while working with many of the sports programs. |
