The
Sports Academy's soccer program is focused on players 8-18
years old. Our goal is to help young players improve their
skills and increase their enjoyment of the game, while
enhancing their importance to their team. Players will be
grouped according to age and skill level. Participants will
receive individual and group instruction on footwork,
passing skills, dribbling, defense, and game strategies.
Instruction will also be offered for those interested in
goalkeeping. Players can expect plenty of game action.
Skills Training

Dribbling – Changing speeds, Controlling the
ball

Passing – Long balls, Heading, Bending the
ball

Principles of Attack and Defense

Defense – Zone and Man to Man

Footwork – Receiving and Finishing
·
Conditioning
Players will participate in 2 on 1, 2 on 2, and 4 on 4
games to sharpen their skills
Each player will receive a soccer ball and a personal
evaluation at the conclusion of the session.
