Dan Duquette Sports Academy Releases
2005 Schedule
Spring Training Baseball & Softball Camp Will Open Season
Hinsdale, MA – October 27, 2004 – The Sports Academy has
added programs and sessions at its state of the art facility in the
Berkshires. New programs will be offered in Soccer and Roller Hockey.
Specialized baseball sessions have also been added including, Hitting and
Pitching, and a special session for High School players. Ushering in the
year, in April, will be a Spring Training Baseball and Softball session, for
boys and girls looking to get a jump on the season.
The Academy will also offer an Adult Baseball Fantasy Camp for those players
who would like to share the field with veteran Major League Players.
Once again the Academy will hold a special Parent-Child weekend over the
Memorial Day weekend. This unique event, that allows parents and their
children to get an early start on the season, should once again be a sell
out.
The schedule includes nine, six-day sessions for baseball and three for
softball, running from mid June to mid August. Once again, basketball will
be featured in August with two sessions for boys and one for girls. The new
Roller Hockey and Soccer sessions will join existing programs in Football
and Strength and Conditioning, bringing the total number of sports offered
at the Academy to six.
“The response to the facility and instructors last year was outstanding,”
Duquette said. “My goal was to build the finest facilities and fields
available for youth sports training in New England. Based on the comments
we’ve received, we’ve accomplished our objective. Last year we hosted boys
and girls from all over the United States and Canada. Most left having
enhanced their athletic skills, while enjoying the great recreational
facilities we have in the Berkshires.”
